Saturday 17th July saw a “TiCCLe” T Party being held in Doodlebugs Nursery in Aberuthven. From 10:30 till 12:00 parents and children had the opportunity to participate in a small and large raffle, have their nails painted (well the females anyway) enjoy home baking or strawberries and cream, as well as a scented candle stall.
The children also had the opportunity to use the outdoor play area as well as a bouncy castle.
Doodlebugs found out about TCCL from the Torrance family whose son Ethan is being treated at Ninewells hospital and whose younger brother is at the nursery.
The nursery staff run a fund raiser annually and this year TCCL was the chosen recipient. They were assisted in the organisation by Pauline from Seasonal Solutions.
Goode weather saw a good turn out of supporters from the local community.
The TCCL committee would like to thank the staff of Doodlebugs for the invitation to the event, which was attended by the TCCL chairman, Mr John Walker.

Thanks also to those who came along to support the venture on the day. It is much appreciated.
A brief gallery of photographs, taken at the event by the chairman, is available on the site, in the gallery section of the site.

Kinneff Reelers & Friends Annual Charity Walk 2010. This walk was a round trip walk from/to Edzell Muir via Hill of Corathro in lower Glen Esk, a distance of around 10 miles.
This year the funds raised have been donated to two charities – Bliss and Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia (TCCL).
The walk – the weather gods smiled upon them, again, and the 30 of walkers had a dry day with some great views (24 hrs earlier would have been a whole lot different!). The walk route was probably a surprise for a few, with it being so close to home but having a lot of contrasting terrain.
The group finished the day at Edzell Golf Club for supper and a putting competition – won by a team with two non golfers, captained by John Forbes!!
Thanks to Mike Beattie and Tony Peters for supplying some of the photos.
The total amount raised was £2,501 and with gift aid this will increase to £3,009.28.
The individual charities received – figure in brackets is with gift aid added:
Bliss - £1,200.50 (£1,408.64)
TCCL – £1,300.50 (£1,600.64)
The TCCL Committee would like to thank the Kinneff Reelers and would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who generously donated to this event.

Beer was flowing as St Andrews University hosted its fourth Oktoberfest for Charity.
Some 1200 students from the town and all over europe flocked to Kinkell Byre for the bavarian-themed gathering, inspired by the 200-year-old Munich Oktoberfest.
The event was organised by a group of German students and raised money for Tayside Chilren with Cancer and Leukaemia.

The team took part in and organised various fundraising activities throughout the last academic year including cake and book sales, and taking part in the London Marathon.
The fundraising was a family affair with ten year old Niamh Quinn, whose mother Hilary is the Accommodation Officer at the University, raising money by knitting scarves for her classmates.
