Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia (TCCL) held a 1920s charity ball at The Apex, Dundee on Saturday evening, boosting funds for their lodge project by over £18,000.

The event, hosted by STV Fundraising_news Anchor Andrea Brymer, welcomed 266 people, including guests from the local business community and the charity’s ambassador, Dundee United footballer and cancer survivor Jordan Moore.

The event included a live auction with some wonderful prizes including a week’s stay near New York, a tank driving experience and art from a Fife based artist, to name a few of the spectacular items available to buy.

Claire Smith, Vice Chairperson of TCCL said:

“We would like to thank everyone who supported our 1920s Great Ball on Saturday evening. We’ve made over £18,000 profit from the event and we are delighted by our guests’ generous contributions on the night. These funds will make a massive impact towards finishing our internal renovations at the house.”

TCCL Lodge, a four bedroom house in St Andrews is currently being renovated to be turned into a luxury holiday home for children and their families affected by cancer or leukaemia.   The funds raised at Saturday’s event will be used towards the project and the group hope to have their house ready to welcome families in late summer.

The project has already raised over £430,000 towards its £500,000 target.
