Dundee United Footballer Announced as TCCL Charity Ambassador

Jordan Moore - TCCL\'s New Ambassador

20 year old Dundee United footballer Jordan Moore has this week been announced as a charity ambassador for Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia.

Following a battle with skin cancer earlier in the year, Jordan decided he wanted to give something back to the community, for all the support they gave him during his recent spell of ill health.

Jordan commented: “I was delighted when TCCL approached me and asked for help in raising awareness of cancer in young people.  I’m also really looking forward to giving something back to the children and families of Tayside, having gone through cancer myself this year.”

Having undergone a 13 and a half hour operation earlier in the year to remove the cancer, the 20 year old is now fit to play again and already has already scored 9 goals in 5 games during pre season.

TCCL Vice Chairperson Claire Smith said: “We were over the moon when Jordan agreed to come on board and support TCCL.  He’s close in age to some of the youngsters we support and is an incredibly inspirational young man.”
