Team Felix with Finn

Felix Millander and 5 of his friends from his P7 class at Wormit Primary School have just completed their sponsored cycle for TCCL.     Felix's younger brother Finn is being treated for Leukaemia at Dundee's Ninewells Hospital and TCCL has supported the family during this time.

"Team Felix" cycled from Wormit primary school on Sat 4th May, leaving at 2pm, and cycled through Newport then over the Tay Bridge to the Bridgeview Cafe on Riverside drive.

I caught up with Felix, Ronan, Jacob, Josh, Stuart & Craig at 3pm at the bridgeview cafe.  Felix set up his charitygiving page on 25th May with the hope of raising £150 for TCCL.   He was astounded when after 24 hrs there was some £500 pledged in support.    He was joined by his friends and each day the total just lept going up and up.   (As I left to meet them the total was standing at £4481.  At 6pm on sat it sat at £4575.   This does not include £600 expected from the oil rig workers on which one of the parents works.)

They were accompanied by two parents on the ride, and met at the Cafe by many many more parents, friends and well wishers.  A nicer bunch of lads you would be hard pressed to find.   Their efforts for us was quite remarkable and it was a pleasure and a privilidge for me to meet them, and thank them in person for their support of TCCL.

It is the wish of the team that the money raised be put towards our Lodge appeal.   They left around 3:30pm to cycle back over the bridge to wormit.

A gallery has been placed on the site (photos taken at the bridgeview cafe).

Well done Team felix - and many thanks for your fantastic success.
